In a separate small container, add two tablespoons of baking soda, add the essential oil, and mix well. This helps for better distribution of the essential oil into the final mix.

Pour the baking soda into the container. Add the water, and the essential oil mix and combine all ingredients.

Fill the ice cube tray with the mix and let it dry for 48 hours.

Take the tabs out of the ice cube tray. Place them in the tea paper filter bags and tie them on the top. If you got extras, place them in a glass container with a lid to use as a refill.

  1. These trash can deodorizers are such a great idea! I’ll have to make them myself now – even though we don’t have much of an odor issue. But they look and smell so nice 🙂

  2. Oh I’m going to have to try this! Our kitchen trash can is a pull out drawer in our kitchen cabinets. Not sure it was the best idea! The smell sometimes is terrible! I’ve tried a few things, but yet to find something that works well. This looks so easy and affordable!
