Ingredients
- 1 box of hard or soft taco shells
Tofu Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1 medium-hard tofu
- 1/2 sweet pepper
- 1/2 medium-size onion
- 2 green onions
- 2 garlic clove
- 1 cup of tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt (you can add more or less base on your taste)
- Red pepper flakes (optional).
How to prepare Tofu for your tacos
Add the tofu to a food processor to get a consistency similar to ground meat.
Preheat the saucepan over medium-high heat, and add a tablespoon of coconut oil. Cut the sweet peppers, onions, green onions, and garlic into small squares.
Add the tofu and veggies into the hot pan and cook for 5-10 minutes or until the vegetables are well cooked.
Add the paprika, cumin, oregano, tomato sauce, salt, and red pepper flakes (optional). Let it cook for 5 minutes and let it cool down.
