Homemade Oats Face Scrub – Simple to make
These Homemade Oats face scrub is so simple to make! It only takes four ingredients: Oats, Honey, almonds (optional), and lavender blossoms (optional).
This is an all-natural and eco-friendly way to pamper yourself. Each skin type is different; in my case, I use it every night instead of a face cleanser.
Taking care of yourself is always essential. A weekend afternoon of relaxation and enjoyment will give you the strength to keep going during the week.
Why do I like this face scrub?
I like this face scrub because it has ingredients that I already have at home. All ingredients are natural, and I control the quality of each component (I do try to buy as many organic products as possible). Also, I can use eco-friendly containers for storage, and It is easy to prepare!
Benefits of each ingredient
Each of these ingredients brings its own benefits to the skin.
Oats: Due to the Saponin content, Oats have a cleanser property reducing the excess of oil and dirt from the face. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that make my face so smooth. Because of the way I prepare the oats (oats aren’t ground 100%,) it also works as a gentle exfoliant.
Honey: This sweet ingredient leaves the face looking bright and clear. It nourishes and moisturizes the skin.
Almonds: This is optional. Almonds contain antioxidants and are also rich in Vitamin E.
Lavender blossoms: This is optional. I love the scent of lavender, which is believed to have antiseptic properties, adding an extra benefit to my scrub.

I like the idea to add the lavender blossoms! I usually just add some essential oils but the actual blooms would help exfoliate I would think along with the oatmeal.
