Thankfulness Tree with natural materials
This beautiful, eco-friendly Thankfulness tree made with natural materials will bring joy to the entire family.
Thanksgiving is a beautiful holiday; it is a day when we get together with family and friends and give thanks for all our blessings.
While I was on my morning walk and giving thanks for the breathtaking Fall season scenery, I was thinking about how I could make a meaningful, eco-friendly craft that the entire family could enjoy on Thanksgiving day.
Spending a few minutes each day outside, taking in the fresh air, and enjoying the beauty of each season. Being in the present moment makes me realize there are many things to be thankful for.
Sometimes, that is all it takes: an outdoor walk to slow our busy minds and see all our blessings.
Giving thanks makes us realize how fortunate we are. We are so thankful for our family, health, friends, food on our table, a warm home, and our little dog, to mention a few.
Since the season started, I have saved some fall leaves and pressed them in a book to maintain their shape. I knew I wanted to make something like this, and when I started looking for ideas, I saw many different designs for this craft.
I love how this craft turned out, and it is also a great Thanksgiving craft for kids.

Materials
How to make this Thankfulness Tree with natural materials?
- Fill a glass jar with sand and rocks to make the base sturdy. Insert the tree branches.
- Design the labels and cut them.
3. Glue the labels to the leaves and let them dry.
4. Tie a ribbon at the bottom of the leaves.
5. Place this beautiful centerpiece on your dinner table, entrance, or coffee table with a pen nearby.
Useful Tips
- If you are using school glue to attach the labels to the leaves, it will curl the leaves. You can avoid this by placing some books on top and letting them dry that way. Just make sure there is not too much glue to prevent the labels from getting attached to the book.
- Use a hole punch to add the ribbon if you are using paper leaves.
Can I use other materials?
