Homemade Foaming Hand Soap – Easy to make
This homemade foaming hand soap is so easy to make — only four ingredients: Castile soap, water, almond oil, and essential oils.
I love making DIY home essentials! This homemade foaming hand soap allows me to customize it to my needs and know which ingredients are in my soap.
I try to use natural ingredients as much as possible in my homemade products to reduce the number of chemicals at home.
Why I’m making my foaming soap at home?
We use hand soap in large quantities. And I love the aroma of the hand soaps we buy in the store. But it happens that sometimes I want to change the aroma of the soap to go with the season, and I have to wait until we finish all the soaps we have before using another fragrance.
But what about making them at home? I have read different recipes for foaming soaps and decided to try them. After I started making these hand soaps, I switched to a homemade product. Why? Because:
- I can make it in no time.
- It saves money because it costs a fraction of the store price.
- It is made with more eco-friendly ingredients.
- I can adapt the aroma I want it depending on the season of the year.

Tools:
Materials:
- 3-4 Tablespoon Castile Soap
- 1 1/2 cup Distilled Water
- 1/2 teaspoon Almond Oil (optional)
- 2 drops Essential Oil Lavender (optional)
- 4 drops Essential Oil Eucalyptus (optional)
How to make this Homemade Foaming Hand Soap?
Add the castile soap into a container.
Add the distilled water.
Add the almond oil and essential oils.
Mix well and pour into the glass foaming container.
Useful Tips
- I used lavender castile soap for this recipe because we love Lavender aroma. But you can buy soap with no scent to add the aroma of your preference.
- I clean well the glass soap dispenser before each refill.
- I use distilled water to avoid contamination of the mix.
- Because we are using water and oils, the ingredients can separate from time to time. If you see that this occurs, shake your glass soap dispenser before using it.
- With every product that we make at home, it is always recommended to try it in a small area first.
- Almond oil and essential oils are optional. I like to add these oils to the foaming hand soap for the extra benefits and aroma they provide.
- We use all the soap in less than a week.
